TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR HIRE OF TIVERTON VILLAGE HALL The
current rate for hiring the hall for a private function is £35 for evening
hire from 6pm to 12 midnight. Rates
for other hires are published on the notice board.
Hire rates for regular meetings by groups or societies are by
negotiation with the Village Hall Committee. A
verbal booking is only confirmed on receipt of the full hire charge and signed
copy of the Terms & Conditions of Hire. This must be received at least
seven days before the hire date. In
the event of cancellation of a booking within seven days of the event, the
hire charge will be forfeited. Payment
of hire fee is to be made on collection of the key. Cheques to be made payable to "Tiverton Village
Hall". The hirer will be
required to sign a copy of the Terms and Conditions for Hire of the Village
Hall. The
hirer is responsible for leaving the hall clean, including the kitchen, bar
and toilet areas, also for putting right fully any damage sustained to the
building or furniture/fittings as a result of the hiring. The
hirer is required to comply with all fire and emergency procedures as
described overleaf. To comply
with Chester City Council licence requirements, the maximum number of persons
allowed in the hall at any one time is 100. The
hirer is required to ensure that no nuisance is caused to surrounding
properties as a result of the hire of the hall. It is expected that all functions will end by 12 midnight. The
Village Hall is not licensed for the sale of alcohol. Hirers wishing to sell
alcohol must provide their own Licence. The
Village Hall Committee is not responsible for any loss or damage to persons or
property sustained when the hall is hired out. The
key is to be returned within 24 hours of the termination of the hire period. The
Village Hall Committee wishes to point out that there is no parking
immediately adjacent to the hall. The
nearest public parking is in the lay-by on the A49.
