FEARNALL
PARISH
NEWS
October 2004
I am sure everyone
will have noticed the improvement in the tidiness of our two villages thanks to
the efforts of our Community Orderly, Harold With. It would be nice to think
that in the near future we could enter the
With this
newsletter you should also receive a Parish Plan Newsletter. Please take the
time to read it, as it will undoubtedly have an influence on future
developments in the villages.
As you may have seen we have a problem with
moles on Tiverton village green. I have set a trap but every time I check it
has been triggered by a stone! It seems the mole is pushing a stone ahead of himself and therefore not getting caught. Clever or what!

Village Hall Notes
The Drop in Coffee
Mornings have run successfully for a trial period of
six months. Even with the offer of internet/computer traning
the support has been less than we had hoped for, so the event has been
discontinued for the time being.
Our faithful cooker
has finally come to the end of its days and we are looking for a
replacement. Can any one help us out
with an electric cooker in good working order?

The Sandstone
News, which those in Tiverton will probably have seen by now, is a new,
co-operative venture between the five Village Halls along the Peckforton Ridge.
The Halls, including Tiverton, are seeking to build on each other’s
strengths and so promote a more diverse range of community activities in our
village halls.
